Dave Bergus
Senior Aviation Adviser
Dave Bergus is a qualified pilot and aircraft maintenance engineer who has worked for Qantas Airways in maintenance, in Papua New Guinea as a line pilot, chief pilot and engineer for Liddles Air Service of Queensland, senior pilot and instructor for Pays Air Service in New South Wales and aviation controller for UTS Geophysics in Western Australia. Dave has over 21,500 hours flying experience and is a CASA approved ATO (Authorised Testing Officer), with extensive experience in the aerial agricultural arena. He has also been involved in aerial firefighting in all states of Australia, Italy, Malaysia and Indonesia in this field.Dave is a valued auditor for Flight Safety Pty Ltd, having both a pilot and maintenance perspective on aviation operations in a variety of settings. Dave hails from Goulburn, NSW, and enjoys Ultra-light instruction, bike riding and hiking in his spare time.
